We recognise that patients find it convenient to attend the practice to have blood tests that have been requested by the hospital clinics. We undertake some tests through shared care agreements. We ask that you book an appointment for a blood test at the practice if it has been requested by one of our own practice clinicians. We understand that you may feel this to be an inconvenience, but we must ensure that patients attending for essential primary care instigated diagnostic tests, can do so in a timely manner. Routinely booking in secondary care work, impacts access to primary care appointments for our patients.
