💉🦠2021 COVID-19 Vaccinations 🦠💉

We have now invited all patients aged 21 and above, those who have been shielding and those with a qualifying underlying health condition to have their vaccination at the Meres Leisure Centre. If you are in these categories and have not had a text to book it may be that the practice does not have a current mobile number.   If this applies to you, please contact the surgery and we can arrange your appointment.

.......................

Please do not call the surgery to book a vaccine, unless instructed to do so by us.

.......................

We will never contact you by email or ask for money when booking you in for a vaccine.  Please be vigilant. If you have any suspicions about your booking, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our team.

🏄🏝️☀️ Proof of Vaccination Status for Travelling Abroad ☀️🏝️🏄

 ..................................................................

If you are planning to travel abroad, please note that GP surgeries are not able to provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.  This must be done via the NHS app or by contacting 119.

Please visit the following website for more information and how to get proof of your vaccination status:

💉Astra Zeneca/Oxford Vaccination Update💉

..................................................................

We are aware that patients may have concerns about their Covid vaccination, following the recent media coverage of EU countries suspending the use of the Astra Zeneca/Oxford vaccination.

Further to the advice of the UK Medicines Regulators, we are continuing to administer this vaccine at the vaccination centre at The Meres. If you have concerns, we suggest that you review the guidance from the MHRA.

Their latest statement is available at:

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/mhra-response-to-danish-authorities-action-to-temporarily-suspend-the-astrazeneca-covid-19-vaccine

We have no further information, only that it has NOT been confirmed that the reports of blood clots were caused by the AZ vaccine. Patients should still go and get their COVID-19 vaccine when asked to do so.

Extended Access Appointments

We are pleased to be able to offer our patients access to routine, pre-booked appointments at evenings and weekends from Monday 10th September.

The new service is part of an extended access service which has been commissioned by NHS South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Extended hours run between 18:30 and 20:00 weekdays and 09:00 and 12:00 Saturday and Sunday and are available on bank holidays and across the Easter, Christmas and New Year periods.

Appointments are for pre-bookable, non-urgent consultations with GPs and Nurses and Physiotherapists.

The service is being delivered at the St Peter’s Hill Surgery and managed by a federation of GPs in the Grantham area. This means that your appointment could be with a health professional from any of the federation practices.

In addition patients can be seen at the practice on a Thursday evening until 20.00.  Contact the surgery to make an appointment.
