Repeat Prescriptions

48_hours

Please allow a minimum of two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.  Prescriptions need to be authorised by a Doctor and then processed by a Dispenser.  Additionally, some items of medication may need to be ordered into the surgery.  All of this takes time.

It is your responsibility to order your medications at the correct time.  If you forget to do this, our staff will do their best to help you.  However, we are under no obligation to prioritise your prescription request ahead of others and some of your items may be out of stock and require ordering.

Dispensary

We can dispense medications to all patients who live more than a mile away from a chemist. The dispensary is open during surgery opening hours.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
